covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits . P 33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: 1 yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. P 34 1 Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. P 35 1 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, 2 even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. P The promise of a “future” Antichrist ; of Wrath when CHRIST returns (Fulfilled - Rev 13:5,6 & 19:11-21) 36 And the 3 king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the 4 GOD of gods, and shall prosper 5 till the 6 indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. P P 37 Neither shall 3 he regard the 7 God of his fathers, nor the 8 DESIREOFWOMEN , nor regard any god: 9 for he shall magnify himself above all. P P 38 But in 3 his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. P 39 Thus shall 3 he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. P 40 3 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horse
men, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. P 41 3 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be over- thrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. P 42 3 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. P 43 3 But he shall have power over the trea- sures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. P 44 But tidings 10 out of the east and 11 out of the north shall trouble him: therefore 3 he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. PP The promise of the Antichrist’s destruction (Fulfilled - Rev 19:20) 45 And 3 he shall plant the 12 tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glori- ous holy mountain; 13 yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. PP Daniel 12 The promise of Great Tribulation to come, i.e., the DAY OF THE LORD (I Thess 5:1-3) (Fulfilled - Rev 6:5-8 & 13:5) (Note - This event took place in the 3rd year of King Cyrus’ co-reign with Darius the Mede) Date - 536 BC/AM 3464 1 And at that time shall 14 Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be 15 A TIME OF TROUBLE , 16 such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and 5 at that time 17 thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found 18 written in the book. 11:33 This phrase ( yet they shall fall by the sword ) was fulfilled when the Roman Fleet, which bordered the Mediterranean coast (Chittim), compelled Antiochus Epiphanes in 167 BC to return to Syria earlier than he wanted. Upon his return, he vented his anger upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem and desecrated the Temple by offering a pig upon its altar. 11:37 a It appears, according to this verse, that the Antichrist may be a renegade Jew. Note the phrase, “ Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers ” ( Rev 17:8 ). 11:37 b Since the time of Eve (Gen 4:1), the desire of every woman (that is, every woman who understood the promise of grace via the Gospel of Christ - Gen 4:1 c ) has been to bear the virgin-born SON OF GOD . The phrase “ DESIRE OF WOMEN ” refers to that promise (Gen 3:15, Isa 7:14, Jere 31:22, Mic 5:3 and Lk 1:42). Meaning: The future Antichrist will have total disregard for CHRIST . 11:45 Interestingly enough, the Antichrist will move his headquarters from Rome to Jerusalem ( between the seas ). He will do this during the middle of Daniel’s Seventieth Week ( Rev 13:5 and Dan 9:27 ).
