Daniel interprets the dream 15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17 These great 1 beasts, which are four, are four 2 kings, which shall arise out of the earth. P The promise to faithful saints to rule and reign with CHRIST (Fulfilled - Rev 20:4) 18 But the 3 saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the king- dom for ever, even for ever and ever. P The promise of a revived Roman empire under the Antichrist (Fulfilled - Rev 6:2 & 13:1) 19 Then I would know the truth of the 4 fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; P 20 And of the 5 ten horns that were in his head, and of the 6 other which came up, 7 and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a 8 mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. PP 21 I beheld, and the same horn 9 made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; P 22 Until the 10 ANCIENTOFDAYS came, 3 and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. P 23 Thus he said, The 4 fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. P 24 And the 5 ten horns out of this king- dom are ten kings that shall arise: and 6 another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, 7 and he shall sub- due three kings. PP 25 And 11 he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall 9 wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until 12 A TIME AND TIMES AND THE DIVID- ING OF TIME . The promise of the Antichrist’s destruction (Fulfilled - Rev 19:20) 26 But the judgment shall sit, 13 and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. P 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, 3 shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, 14 WHOSE KINGDOM is an everlasting kingdom, 15 and all dominions shall serve and obey him. P P 28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my 16 cogitations much trou- bled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart. Daniel 8 Daniel’s vision of the ram (Medo-Persia) and the he-goat (Greece) (Note - This event took place in the 3rd year of Prince Belshazzar’s reign) Date - c. 550 BC/AM 3450 1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me 17 at the first. 2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai. The promise of Medo-Persia’s two rulers (Fulfilled - Dan 5:31 - 539 BC & Ezra 1:1-3 - 536 BC) 3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold,therestoodbeforetherivera 18 RAM which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but 19 one was higher than the 20 other, and the 21 higher came up last. PPP The promise of Medo-Persia to 4 I saw the 18 RAM pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. P The promise of Medo-Persia’s fall to Greece (Fulfilled - 331 BC) 5 And as I was considering, behold, an 21 HEGOAT came fromthewest on the face become a world empire (Fulfilled - From 539-331 BC)

7:17 Fulfilled - Babylon (612 BC), Medo-Persia (Dan 5:31 - 539 BC), Greece (331 BC), and Rome (146 BC) 7:23 Rome was diverse from all other world powers in that its democratic philosophy continues to influence the entire world to this day ( Dan 7:8a ).
