JEREMIAH 32:15
JEREMIAH 32:20
1194
The promise to bring Israel back to Jerusalem (Fulfilled - Ezra 1:1-3 - 536 BC) 15 For thus saith the LORD OF HOSTS , the God of Israel; 1 Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. P 16 Now when I had delivered the 4 evi- dence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying, 17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: 18 2 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto
thousands, and recompensest the iniq- uity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the GREAT , the MIGHTY GOD , the LORD OF HOSTS , is his name, 19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

32:17 THE ADAGE IS TRUE: Impossible is not possible with God ( there is nothing too hard for thee ) 32:20 Whatever Jeremiah was referring to when he made reference to the “ signs and wonders in the land of Egypt ,” he couldn’t have been referring to the ten plagues of Egypt (Exo 7-12). Why? Because those “signs and wonders” occurred 900 years earlier during Moses’ day (1488 BC), and not during Jeremiah’s day (587 BC). If Jeremiah was not referring to the ten plagues of Egypt, then what was he referring to? There are some scholars who hold to the belief that Jeremiah was referring to the Great Pyramid of Giza here. It has been rightly said, “Man fears time, yet time fears the pyramids.” Outlasting every other “Wonder” the ancient world has ever produced, the Great Pyramid of Giza, though not the oldest in Egypt, is certainly the most mystical wonder in the world. In fact, one of the most interesting aspects of the Great Pyramid is the amazing amount of investigation that it has received, and the astonishing degree of “controversy” that it has inspired. There are two schools of thought concerning the Great Pyramid of Giza. Some believe that the Great Pyramid is just another monument built by men. Dr. Harry Rimmer in Dead Men Tell Tales notes: One of the greatest but most nonsensical heresies of our generation is the false teaching that parades under the name of “British-Israelism.” This ridiculous fantasy is predicated upon the false premise that the Great Pyramid is a prophecy erected under divine leading. By a weird interpretation of its mathematical proportions, it is presumed to portray a prophetic record of coming events. It is the source of more fantasy than has ever been derived from any other misapplication of coincidence. 1 The other school of thought believes the builder of the Pyramid was God himself. Clarence Larkin in Dispensational Truth notes:
Of the many pyramids of Egypt it was the first built, and the largest of them all, and served as a pattern for the others. It was not built for a Tomb, as were the others, but embodies in its construction such a wonderful knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, and Scriptural information as to clearly show that the Architect and Builder was especially endowed with Divine Wisdom. 2
Consider the following “reasoning,” and then decide for yourself: * The building of the Great Pyramid
Although there were over 80 pyramids built over a period of 1,000 years, between the 27 th and 18 th centuries BC, the three great pyramids of Giza stand out as the most monumental. Yet, of the three, the Great Pyramid of Khufu stands alone as the first and greatest “wonder” of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Ancient World’ ( Acts 19:27 ). Whereas the other pyramids were clearly intended to serve as sepulchers for the kings who built them, it “appears” that the Great Pyramid was erected with a different purpose in mind.
