3 1 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. P The promise of the sun, moon, and stars to be darkened (Fulfilled - Rev 6:12-17) 4 2 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf fallethoff fromthe vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. P 5 For 1 MY sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon 3 Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. P 6 1 The 4 sword of the 5 LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. 11 But the 7 cormorant and the 8 bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and 1 HE shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. P 12 1 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. 34:5 The destruction of mankind at the end of the world is personified in the judgment upon Edom ( Idumea ), and for good reason. The Edomites had not only been Israel’s sworn enemies throughout her history (Num 20:14-23, II Chro 21:8-10 & 28:16- 17 and Obad 1:1-21), but they were the first to sell God’s eternal plan of salvation for a temporal bowl of soup ( Gen 25: 29- 32 -34). Isaiah 35 Chapter 35 is simply a continuance of chapter 34:16-17, and deals with the restoration of the nation of Israel during the Millennium ( Gen 13:15 ). It is impossible for the human mind to comprehend a few of the things that are going to take place during the 1000-year reign of Christ (Rev 20:1-10). For example: * The FATHER will be here, not in flesh (Jn 4:24), but in some kind of spirit-form that will enable us to recognize His Person. ( Isa 24:23 & 25:6 , Zech 8:18-23 & 14:16-17 and Rev 7:15 & 11:17 & 12:10). To date, no human has ever experienced this kind of event. Mankind has experienced the personal presence of the SON OF GOD ( Mic 5:2 ), and occasionally the SPIRIT OF GOD (Acts 10:1-20, Zech 2:3 and Rev 14:18 ), but outside of Moses viewing the backside of God (Exo 33:18-23), no man has ever experienced the personal presence of the FATHER . * The DEVIL will not be here (Rev 20:1-3). To date, no human has ever experienced a world free of Satan’s influence. He has always involved himself in the affairs of men (from Genesis 3 – Revelation 20). Yet during the Millennium, He will be bound and unable to mess with men. NOTE – The personal presence of the Triune Godhead and the noticeable absence of the Evil One will guarantee “heaven on earth” to every inhabitant for at least 1000 years.
