The Spiritual Song - Exploring Prophetic Worship by Mike Herron

presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God. “(2 Chron. 5:12-14)

David, Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman were the co-architects of Biblical worship. God is again laying these foundations of prophetic praise in his church building upon the commands and insights of his servants. ‘ The musicians, descendants of Asaph, were in their assigned places, following the commands that had been given by David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, the king’s seer.” (2 Chron. 35:15)  Musicians are called to be prophetic, releasing messages from the King!  There are people called to give themselves fully to this ministry  God wants to use all generations in the prophetic song  The presence of the Lord is the source of inspiration  The prophetic song can be a song of thanks and praise  The prophetic song can be a song exalting Christ or God  Women are called to sing songs of the Spirit  There is a prophetic design for the worship team
