With his harp and his pen he began to write prophetic songs in three dimensions: 1. To ‘one another’ - ‘O Come, let us sing unto the Lord…’ Ps 95:1 2. To the Lord- ‘I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart…’ Ps 9:1 3. From the Lord- ‘The Lord says, “Don’t’ harden your hearts…’ Ps 95:8 David also experienced a direct revelation of the throne room of heaven. In his worship times, the Lord rolled back the earthly veil and he saw what Moses, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and the Apostle John saw, the celestial dwelling of the Lord. In that atmosphere, he heard the Father and the Son speaking to one another and the voice of the Holy Spirit. He saw the future suffering and glory of the Messiah, the birth of the church and all of the nation’s worshiping Jesus at the end of the ages. ‘The Lord has made t he heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything. ’(Ps 103:20) ‘The Lord is king! Let the nations tremble! He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the whole earth quake! The Lord sits in majesty in Zion, exalted above all the nations.’ (Ps 99:1, 2) As we worship in Spirit and in Truth we also can experience a measure of the heavenly presence on earth. The scripture teaches us that God desires to put his ‘prophetic’ spirit upon all of his people. ‘I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them all!’ (Num 11:29) This was
