or unsaved.

We can continue with the amazing story of the influence of key

leaders like Esther and Mordicai who God gave incredible favor

and wisdom to that saved Israel from destruction giving them

great influence over that empire (Esther 9:29 - 10:3).

We also know that during the first three centuries of the modern

era, the church became the dominant faith of the Roman

Empire through a long line of key leaders beginning with men

like Paul, who God brought before kings to introduce them to

the gospel (Acts 26).

From the 6th to the 12th century in Europe, the church was the

dominant influence in society, setting up rulers and taking down

rulers. The sadness is that the European church became

corrupt and immoral and lost the influence the early church had

purchased for it with its blood and faith.

As God renews His church we will again see His people

become the salt and light that will profoundly touch whole

nations with the life and power of the Kingdom of God. It is

critical then that the church learn to pray diligently for God to

raise up these called leaders in every city or nation in every

sphere of influence. Such leaders need to be identified and

nurtured and trained as they are given revelation, favor and
