Chapter Sixteen

The Gospel Angels

When I was pastoring a church in Portland, Oregon, my wife

and I built a friendship with the pastor and his wife at the

German Assembly of God church in that city. His wife told me

several times, “I wish I could see an angel just once in my life!”

She longed for this so fervently that I prayed God would one

day allow her to experience an angelic visitation.

In the time of the great and final harvest, nobody on earth will

be left wishing for an angelic visitation. Audaciously, God will

see that the entire planet will get such a view of an angel – in

triplicate.

In Revelation, John gives an account of what some Bible

teachers have called t he “Gospel Angels” (Rev. 14:6 -11).

Interestingly, I find that when I mention these “gospel angels”

to Christians, often they know little if anything about them. Yet

this has to be one the most fantastic angelic episodes in

scripture.
