Chapter Fourteen

The Audacious Jesus and His church

Jesus is the most audacious and gracious expression of creator

God’s love and power. Jesus’ life, death , and resurrection was

God’s loudest shout of His love for us. Nothing could more

ardently express God’s heart for mankind . Scripture states that

“God was reconciling the world to H imself in Christ…” (2 Cor.

5:19). There is no higher revelation of God Hmself than in Jesus

Christ.

…but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being. ..” (Heb. 1:2-3).

To know God fully is to know Him through Jesus Christ. So it is

only right to begin with Jesus in seeing the utter audacity of God

in revealing Himself and his love to the world.

In Jewish history there had been healings, and even people

raised from the dead; but never had any nation, not even Israel,

seen the number of miracles Jesus did. The apostle John wrote

in his gospel that Jesus did even more miracles than were
