The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....
captivity by Babylon. But the prophet tells them, No more! They
are to cease the sad fasting observance. Their judgment was
over.
Isaiah declares the same thing for the returning Exilic jews:
Comfort, comfort my people says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’S hand double for all her sins. (Isa. 40:1-2).
From now on these fasting days were to be festive days,
because God was raising up a new house where His glory
would be established and celebrated.
Zechariah underscored that people from every nation and
language would join Israel in celebrating this new manifest
presence of God. These gentiles would seek the Lord earnestly
wishing to entreat (inquire, request, plead) before Him.
But when? Some commentators choose to place this event in
the time of the Millennium after the second coming of Jesus
Christ. But the writer of Hebrews clearly teaches that the
shaking of nations and the new house of God (the church) will
arrive after Jesus’ first coming.
From a New Testament perspective, this can only refer to the
church and the kingdom Jesus brought at His first coming. This
