The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

• People carried torches, marching around the Temple

and then setting these lights around its wall —

symbolizing how the Messiah would be a light to the

Gentiles.

Significantly, it was on the day of the Feast of Tabernacles that

Jesus declared Himself to be the living water that would be an

eternal spring of life for those who drink it (John 7:37-38), and

it was when He declared Himself to be the light of the world

(John 8:12).

This feast also celebrated the gathering of the final and full

summer harvest. Thus, spiritually it points to the time when all

nations will share in the joy an d blessings of God’s kingdom

(Rev. 21:24-27). In the future all believers will celebrate the true meaning of this feast (Zechariah 14:16). 15

Pentecost speaks to us of bringing the initial harvest into the

Kingdom of God. The Feast of Tabernacles speaks of the world

havng at last been saturated by the gospel — and the final

completion of the harvest.

The first is the result of the early rain — germinating the church

and launching it with the Great Commission. The second

speaks of the latter rain that brings the harvest to full readiness.
