The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....
sown? Jesus is not expecting the church to have a good
harvest: He is expecting it to have an incredible harvest.
In another parable, J esus speaks of the kingdom’s growth as
irresistible:
And He said, “ So is the Kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he knows not how. For the earth brings out fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, after that the full grain in the ear. But when the fruit has been brought out, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come” (M ark 4:26-29, Matt. 13:24-30).
What stands out in this parable is the irresistible, unstoppable
force of the seed of the Kingdom.
Once the gospel and the manifest Kingdom are presented, the
devil may try to persecute the church and obstruct its efforts —
but it's too late. The life of the Kingdom has been released into
good and ready soil. It triggers a growth with a life of its own
that astounds even the spiritual farmer who sowed it.
We spread the Word (seed) and water it (discipleship), but that
is not the miracle. The miracle is the supernatural work that the
message does in the heart of those who hear it. The Spirit of
God ignites the message to change hearts and to transform
lives and cultures.
