Three New Testament Citations

In Acts 7:42-43 Stephen quotes from Amos 5:25-27. In Acts 15:16 James cites Amos 9:11 at the Jerusalem conference. Jude 23 and Amos 4:11 speak of ಯ plucked from the fire. ರ

The Five Visions of Judgment (Chapter 7-9) Judgment is threatened in all five visions, but in the first two they are restrained, apparently because of the prophet ಬ s prayers (7:2 and 7:5):

1 st Vision (7:1-3) ಹ .. . The Locusts that would eat the vegetation

2 nd Vision (7:4-6) ಹ . The Fire that would sweep through the territory

3 rd Vision (7:7-17) ಹ The plumb line of righteousness that would expose wrong

4 th Vision (8:1-3) ಹ .. The Basket of Summer Fruit, symbol of ripeness of judgment

5 th Vision (9:1-10) ಹ . The Lord by the Altar, destroying their worship center
