It seemed like forever, but we finally arrived at the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s gated compound in Port au-Prince. Atop the twelve-foot-tall fence surrounding the compound, guard turrets were positioned on each side of the gate, manned with armed guards wielding long rifles and shotguns. These armed guards stood lookout twenty-four hours around the clock in an attempt to provide some semblance of safety and security to the people inside the compound. I was thinking even with this constant firepower, recently three missionaries had been gunned down inside an office well inside the compound. Bro Bill, our team, and I very quickly realized this Haiti ministry outreach would not only be surrounded with military-style warfare, but we were also engaged in a deep, dark battle that could only be won by us entering into intense spiritual warfare. Jan Crouch and TBN had sent us to Haiti to fight back the forces of darkness and murder. We knew the battle our Holy Ghost SWAT Team had been sent to wage could only be won in the heavenlies. After throwing down some sleeping bags in rooms inside the compound and hanging some mosquito nets to sleep under, we gathered in the living room and entered into an intense time of praise and worship.
