Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World
thought you were a preacher.” I shot back, “I am a preacher!”
Then he got a little excited and he asked me the sixty-four-thousand-dollar question, “How are you going to GO into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, if you don’t even have a passport?” I assured Bro Bill that, even though our Holy Ghost SWAT Team would be leaving for Haiti in only a few days, I would have a new passport. To make matters worse, July 4 th weekend was coming up just before we were to leave. But I knew, by faith, I would have my passport in hand before our flight to Port-au-Prince. I went down and applied for a new passport and paid for expedited service . I had no idea how close I would come getting my new passport before our flight to Haiti. Within only a few days after my phone call with Bro Bill, our Haiti ministry team gathered together in Southern California at the Trinity Broadcasting Network studios. Scott Crawford, a veteran street minister we had all known for years was part of our team. Also, Jerry Davis, a veteran missionary, musician and evangelist who had ministered in over 60 countries. We had all been on many ministry trips, but none of us was prepared for what was about to happen in Haiti over the next couple of weeks. Jan Crouch hosted an afternoon show on TBN called “Smile of a Child.” She invited our ministry team to be guests with her on this great program. Dot was with me during the last time we could be together before we flew off to Haiti, so she was a guest on the program too.
