Before the teenagers darted off, I confronted them again with a question they seemed to have a quick answer for. “How many of y’all are hungry?” Now they were getting excited. “I am. I am. Man, I haven’t eaten all day.” One thing I know about teenagers is, they are always hungry. I asked them who all wanted to go to a bar-b-q. It was unanimous. Awesome. We’ll be here waiting.” Sarge and I jumped in his truck and headed to the church. Pastor Sarge and Barbara’s church, Maranatha Christian Fellowship, was having an amazing outdoor bar-b-q on the church parking lot that sweltering hot August afternoon.
