Before we went to our rooms for the night, the family told us to come down to their restaurant in the morning before we left, and they wanted to cook us a traditional Japanese breakfast. Plus, they told us it would be “on the house.” We were excited to partake of this great treat. The next morning in the hotel restaurant. We were treated to a traditional Japanese breakfast. I’m not sure everything we ate but I will say, the food was delicious, and our born-again hosts were still smiling and showing the love of the Lord. We hugged our hosts and headed back to Tokyo where this whole trip started. When we got back to the airport, Pastor Steve, Kazu and I flew to Kobe, Japan where Kazu lived. When we got to Kobe, I met Kazu’s wife, Naomi, and their beautiful children. Kobe was beautiful and we spent a little time sight-seeing and some time witnessing and passing out gospel tracts. Kazu and Naomi were so welcoming and caring, I felt like I had known them for years. Immediately, they seemed like family to me. One thing I will never forget is, we all went to a restaurant where I saw my first “sushi train.” We sat at our table and a little train on a track about eye level moved around the restaurant with all kinds of sushi on board.
