Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World

We were all glad to see Pastor Steve Laidlow was at the airport waiting to pick us up and take us to his church and his home which they referred to as A5/35 - The White House.” Yes, the house was actually white. We all immediately felt a comradery with Pastor Steve because of his overwhelming love for Jesus and his heart to reach the lost. When we arrived at their home, we met Detty and a house full of children, seven girls, that Pastor Steve and Detty had adopted. We had brought Detty a Yankee candle for their home, and we sensed the love of Jesus and love from their family that made us feel so welcome. After dinner, I got out my guitar and we all sang some praise and worship songs, lifting up the Lord and basking in His presence. Then we began to strategize the task ahead that would take us deep into the jungles of Indonesia. The next day, along with Pastor Steve, we all ministered at Living Faith International Church. God was moving during the service and people were getting saved and healed. Although fighting intense jetlag, we took turns ministering in music and preaching His Word. It was such a great day fellowshipping with Indonesian families whom we had never met. We knew nothing about the Indonesian culture, but we were soon immersed in it. The next day we gathered at the church office and had a time of worship and prayer. We asked the Lord to show us His will, His plan to reach out to the earthquake survivors.
