Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World

Jesus. Or maybe she just knew in her spirit. Either way, I know Jesus The Healer had touched her.

I got back into our vehicle and the police directed us away from the scene. Molly was as astonished as I was about what had just happened to us. She told me while I was kneeling in the street praying for Miriam, the music from my CD, “lift up His name,” had continued playing. As Molly had also prayed, surrounded by flashing lights of emergency vehicles, the anointed words to one particular song, “None Like You” rang out…

“Jesus, Your Name is higher than all other names… Jesus, Your Holy Word is breath and life to me.”

I don’t know how critically injured Miriam was, as she lay in the street. I’m not presuming God brought her back to life. But I do believe with all my heart that The Name of Jesus, The Spirit of God, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, flowed through Miriam’s body and strengthened her breath and life. Jesus came that Miriam might have life. I overheard the medics say they were taking Miriam and her husband to Holy Cross Hospital in Los Angeles. Before I went to church the next morning, I was able to make contact with the hospital staff and spoke to Miriam’s nurse. “Miriam and her husband are going to be fine,” she said. “She won’t be going home today, but we expect her to recover completely.” I was overjoyed. Almost afraid to ask, I said to the nurse on the phone, “They said she was three months pregnant.” There was a long pause. The nurse’s chuckle broke the silence. “She’s still three months pregnant.” I hung up the phone and did a little dance as I headed out the door to church. Jesus is Awesome!
