Sing Into Your Storm
“ Then the L ORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. And He smote His enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach. (Psalm 78:65-66) Remember Leah, how in her deep pain and sorrow, she finally came to the end of herself and at that very point she surrendered all and moved into a place of pouring her heart out unto the Lord in praise – no matter what the outcome of her troubles would be… you might be at that very place too… Leah chose to make a heart decision … You can do the same right now! From that very decision Leah made, the destiny of God was opened up to her. For out of her womb of praise came forth Judah (and eventually the House of David), and then ultimately a Throne without end - upon whom King Jesus was to sit upon forever! But out of Rachel came Benjamin, strife and eventually… the House of Saul! Interestingly enough, after the Judges Chapter 1 battle where the Lord first proclaimed “Send up Judah first,” the very next place we see the Lord continuing to tell the tribes to send Judah first into war was against the Benjamin tribe: “ NOW I will praise the L ORD .” (Genesis 29:35)
“ Then the children of Israel arose and went up to the house of God to inquire of God. They said, which of us shall go up first to battle against the children of Benjamin? The L ORD said, send Judah first” (Judges 20:18)
After that we find the very tribe of Judah tribe going up against the tribe of Benjamin!
