Sing Into Your Storm

Paul and Silas were severely beaten by the local authorities in Philippi and then locked into an extra secure, inner jail cell and then on top of that, their feet were locked into stocks! Even at midnight, the other prisoners could hear them singing joyfully – singing songs in the night, just like the nightingales!

“ Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them... Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. ” (Acts 16:22-26) “ You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me (watch over, guard, keep, defend) from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. ” (Psalms 32:7) “ I love the L ORD , because He has heard my voice (song) and my supplications (prayer). Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Your song in the night can move Heaven! The Lord will surround you with songs of deliverance ! But will you receive them into your heart?
