Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

In the time when David first came out of the cave at Adullum, his Kingship was first recognized by the tribe of Judah, while all of the other tribes remained loyal to House of Saul, even though King Saul was dead! For seven years there (continued from long standing) a war between these tribes:

“Now there was a long war between the House of Saul and the House of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the House of Saul grew weaker and weaker.” (2 Samuel 3:1)

One House (David) represented praise and being after God’s own heart. The other House (Saul) represented self-effort and determination , constantly driven by the soul and not the spirit, and void of a true heart connection with the Lord. Praise can truly change the atmosphere! Praise changed David’s atmosphere over and over! When you shift your focus off of your problems and begin to focus upon the Lord in praise , you immediately begin to the transfer (download) your heavy burdens upon Jesus, and upon His Power! So take off that heavy yoke you have been carrying! You were never meant to carry such weight upon yourself!

Jesus Himself said:

“Come to Me, all you who labor (in your strength) and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
