Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” (Colossians 3:16) “Well, my brothers and sisters, let's summarize. When you meet together, some will sing, others may teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done is to strengthen all of you.” (1 Corinthians 14:26)

It is clear from the Bible that the intention of God for giving us spiritual songs through the agency of the Holy Spirit is to strengthen , edify and comfort us. I believe this Grace operates both in a personal and a corporate flow as The Holy Spirit wills, just like all of the other gifts of the Holy Spirit do.

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” (1 Corinthians 12:11)

In the very place where your present storm may be assailing you, lift up high praise unto the Lord, and let the Spirit of God come down - right into that very situation, in a special and powerful way and He will “bond” with you in praise! (fusion) As you do, (as I have said before), your faith will begin to arise. Boldness will begin to develop within as you come before the Throne of Grace!
