Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

serious illness, job loss, tragic accident, or deep wound at the hand of someone else. Whatever source your storm stems from, you have a greater Source available to you! Its God! The Word of God speaks clearly to us about lifting up a song to the Lord. Throughout the Bible we see:

“…singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:19)

“Oh, sing to the L ORD a new song! Sing to the L ORD , all the earth. Sing to the L ORD , bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” (Psalms 96:1-2) “Sing to the L ORD a new song, and His praise from the ends of the earth…” (Isaiah 42:10) “Oh, sing to the L ORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The L ORD has made known His salvation…” (Psalms 98:1)

We see different connotations and examples of songs from the Bible like psalms , hymns and spiritual songs . Some songs are meant to be sung unto the Lord, some to be sang over other people to help encourage, comfort and strengthen them.
