ROMANS Study Guide

(a scandal) but to those who put their faith in him…they will not

be put to shame (made to blush).

Conclusion: Paul in this chapter has dealt with a very hard thing… how can God get around the fact that the majority of his people rejected him. Paul’s simple answer is that “God’s true people” did not reject him. God knew this rejection was coming and had already prepared for it. Paul points out that God will let nothing frustrate his plan to win all who will receive his Son as their Savior. During this time of the gospel (this short period of history) now being played out… God will raise up “his people among those who were not his people.” God is perfectly free to do all he has done because he is Creator God, and he can do anything he wants and yet no fault will be found in Him.
