can duplicate. I have value in adding what God has made me. I am designed by God to be an important part of building the church up. # It is important then that we discover our “primary gift” in building up the body - identify my God designed life.

a) My primary gift is the dominate gift that I most want to do and that brings the most

fruitfulness in my labor for the Lord. For example, I might discover that what I most

enjoy is teaching others God’s word and people really respond to my teaching. Or I

may find that I most enjoy helping others in practical ways and people really are

impacted by service I provide.

b) It is important then that I discover my primary gifting so I

can fulfill my ministry given to me by the Lord. I am not to “do

anything and everything” I am to do what I was created to best

do for the lord and his people. This is where we belong in the

body of Christ. As you use your gift you will grow stronger in it

and bless the church and help it to grow as a corporate whole.

Rom 12:4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same function, Rom 12:5 so we the many are one body in Christ, and each one a member of one another. Rom 12:6 Then having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith. Rom 12:7 or ministry, in the ministry; or he who teaches, in the teaching. Rom 12:8 or he who exhorts, in the encouragement; or he who shares, in simplicity; or he who takes the lead, in diligence; or he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness.

5. We need to recognize and use our spiritual gift (function) in the

church body that we have been placed in by the Holy Spirit to serve

one another with: (1Cor.12:7; 1Peter 4:10)

a. Like the human body we are different members of the same

body… in truth we are vitally connected to one another. (vss.4 -5)
