despair; however, he did not remain in his present
position.
This prolific psalmist maximized this negative
event in his life to be the medium to bring him to the
place where he fell upon his knees in total surrender
in prayer. I must admit that the perils in our lives,
some of which may be self-inflicted or direct attack
from the kingdom of darkness, makes Psalm 12:1 so
relevant for our daily lives. My numerous
misfortunes, persecutions, rejection, financial stress,
loss of my parents, backslidden off-springs and
siblings were all used as an avenue for my prayer life
to be strengthened. It is not strange when problems
come your way even as a worshipper.
Practice therefore to remain focused and
concentrate your energies on worshiping God, your
