Only One Life - By Dale Gentry - His Story - His Journey
1984:
In 1984, we built a gymnasium for our Christian
school. Our athletic program was growing, so we
needed a facility to house the Mid-Del Wildcats. We had
a lot of great athletes and enthusiastic fans. Our son,
Rick, became a basketball coach at the school that year.
He later led the Mid-Del boy ’s high school team to three
state finals, one State Championship, a Tri-State
Championship, and a National Championship.

Memories
We made a lot of wonderful memories during
our season as pastors of Del City First Assembly. I had
the opportunity to host a late-night talk show on a local
radio station, as well as a weekly television program. It
was during this time that I met Rusty Goodman of the
well-known Happy Goodman Family. He became my
friend and ministered at our church on several
occasions, as well as his daughter and son in-law, Tanya
and Michael Sykes. We also had the privilege of hosting
David Wilkerson for a crusade at the high school
