Everything seemed very surreal at the moment. I had

received a prophetic word, three years earlier, that I

would go to the White House. I truly believe this was a

God Assignment for Jean and I.

Second Invitation

Soon after returning home, I received another

invitation to lead prayer at the White House. My son

Rick, Tony Haygood, and Lyle and Brenda Mason,

accompanied me on this trip. We made reservations to

stay at the world-renowned Mayflower Hotel, built in

1925, and was labeled as “ Washington DC’s Second -Best

Address. ” Lyle and Brenda Mason arrived early and

checked into the hotel, but due to Rick, Tony, and I’s late

arrival, we were informed that our rooms had been

occupied.

Evidently,

the

hostess

saw

the

disappointment on my face, and began to search for

another roo m. Finally, she turned to me and said, “ the

only vacancy we have tonight is the Preside ntial Suite.…I’ll

put you guys in the Presidential Suite. ” I found out later

that it rents for $5,000 per night! The Voice spoke to me
