Only One Life - By Dale Gentry - His Story - His Journey

Chapter Nineteen

Revival In Fort Worth

1994:

I n 1994, before we started the revival in Fort

Worth, Texas, I celebrated my 50 th birthday at our home

in Oklahoma City, with several of our family and

friends. My friend, Jean Kelley, wrote this birthday

poem for me:

ONE ORDINARY LIFE by Jean Kelley

He was born in an obscure Oklahoma town the son of a preacher man

He married his high school love. In fact, he was a man of many loves

He loved to talk so he got a job on the radio so he could get paid to talk

This ordinary man was a man of decision

He decided to move to Rockwall

He decided to move to West Columbia

He decided to move back to Oklahoma City

He decided to travel all over the world

He decided to move back to Oklahoma City

This ordinary man who strongly believes in definite maybes

This ordinary life has been given extraordinary gifts

A terrific sense of humor

A burning love for his God
