Next Steps 2.0 - Moving To Maturity

If we view someone to be an expert in the field, if the person has demonstrated a long record of success or if the person is much older than us, we can approach the subject more cautiously. We may even come with humility trying to draw as much as we can from the wisdom in front of us. When we think about God and His Word we should always come with humility. Not only does God know everything that has ever happened, not only does He know everything about everything, not only does He know the outcome of everything before it occurs, He know us better than we know ourselves.

When He speaks…we should listen with humility and give His word a chance (Ps. 25:9).

Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus , who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
