may be people we know (such as parents, teachers, pastors, relatives and friends), they may be celebrities, and they may be sports figures, scientists, businesspeople or even certain friends. Many young people have posters or other memorabilia plastered in their rooms to remind them of their idols. We can be greatly influenced by what these people do, by what they say, even by what they chose to eat. The whole advertising industry is built on the idea that if you see a famous person doing something, enjoying something or driving something, you will be more likely to do it yourself.
Question to Ponder: “Did you have any role models growing up? If so, what are some of the things that you were influenced to do because of them?”
