The Types of Prophetic Songs
1. Song of Praise (Psalm 40:3, 96:1-2) The song of praise is a spiritual song which is directed primarily to the Lord, expressing gratitude, joy, and thanksgiving unto Him. It is a song of exaltation unto God, magnifying His name. a) A song of praise is a love song , sung to the Lord (1 John 4:19). We love Him because He first loved us. b) A song of praise is a song which exalts the Lord (Psalm 99:5). We are all called to exalt the Lord and worship at His footstool. c) A song of praise is a song of thanksgiving (Psalm 136:1-3). How else should we respond to the unlimited, over-abundant
