B. Characteristics of the Heart God Desires

1. Integrity (I Kings 9:4; 1 Chronicles 19:17; Psalm 78:70-72) Hebrew: Tamin — complete, well adjusted, sincere, genuine 6 2. Soundness (I Kings 8:61) Hebrew: Shalem — whole, unified 7 3. Faithful and steadfast (Psalm 112:7; Nehemiah 9:8) 4. Clean and pure (Psalm 24:3-4, 51:10; Matthew 5:8) 5. Truthful (Psalm 15:2; 51:6)

6. Humble (Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 11:29) 7. Broken (Psalm 51:16-17; Joel 2:12-13)

God's greatest desire is to come and dwell in us, in the very center of who we are, in our heart. His call for brokenness is so that He can come in and give Himself to us.
