God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power

God's Prophetic People

It is my belief that before we can wholeheartedly worship God like David did, we must first remove the things in our hearts which stand in our way. The Bible calls them idols. I define an idol as an image or object representing or considered as a god, and worshiped as having some divine power. An idol is a false god and an object of heathen worship. Basically, an idol is something within God’s creation which has been inflated to function as a substitute or counterfeit of God Himself. I believe that the idol factory is the heart. That is why we must identify and remove these idols first, then we can worship our God in spirit and in truth.

The following is a chart which will help illustrate idols which were in biblical times, and idols of our present day.
