people into victory and prosperity, ultimately possessing the Promised Land. How was this to transpire? What battle strategy was Joshua to follow? What resource was he to use to see this come to pass? The answer is found in Joshua 1:8-9: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” The word meditate is the Hebrew word transliterated Hagah . This word means to reflect, to ponder, to contemplate, 10 and denotes an active recitation, a respeaking of God’s Word. Joshua was to reflect, to ponder, to contemplate and respeak ing the mighty things God had done on behalf of Israel, and in doing so with faith and courage, his way would be prosperous and he would have success. When you speak of the mighty things God has done for you and others, strength, faith, and courage well up within you. A passion for God and things of His kingdom come back to life. 4. 1 Chronicles 16:11-25 In our business of life, we can actually forget (put out of our mind) the many amazing things the Lord has done for us and through us. We must always remember the things which God has done for us. The following verses emphasize this fact powerfully, and give us direction on whom we must always focus. Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, his wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, O seed of Israel His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a
