God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
Like the old saying goes, “The wolf gets the lone lamb.” We must maintain our relationships with other Christians. We must never forget the admonition of the Lord in Hebrews 10:23- 25: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together , as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching” (emphasis added). There is a powerful dynamic that unfolds in corporate gatherings. As we look to the blueprint for Church health and growth, it is quite clear that God desires us to regularly meet together. In Acts chapter two, we see how the early Church functioned as a corporate community: And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:42- 47, emphasis added). My prayer is that wherever you are in your walk with God, you press into the beauty and dynamics of corporate gatherings so that you stay fervent for the Lord and show to the world our love and life we have in Jesus.
