4. Paul (Acts – Hebrews) • Paul influenced many lives for the gospel’s sake. • Paul ignited both Jew and Gentile to go and preach the gospel to new areas.

• Paul raised up numerous churches. • Paul fathered many sons in the Lord.

• Paul influenced people wherever he went and has left a spiritual deposit in all of our lives, even at present.

I believe it is very important that you connect with those of like passion and vision. If for some reason you have lost your spiritual passion, get as close to someone who is “on fire” for the Lord and His purposes as you can. Like the old saying, “You often become who your friends are,” Proverbs 13:20 says it this way: “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a compan- ion of fools suffers harm.” II. THE RECESSION OF HOLY PASSION Sadly, some who were once fervent in their passion for the Lord have lost their spiritual zeal. The fire that once burned brightly has now faded into a pile of ashes. How did this happen? What led to this decline? Who is to blame for this spiritual setback? In the following section, I hope to shed light on these questions and offer some clarity. relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and by religion I’m referring to simply going through the motions, as so many Christians do today.
