God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
If either one of these is acted upon, there will be a shipwreck in the Church. The doctrine and practice of the priesthood of all believers is a responsibility and a wonderful privilege, a service as well as a status. As New Testament priests, we do have privileges and responsibilities, service as well as status. Here are a few: a) We have the privilege of direct access to the King of Kings. Hebrews 10:19- 22: “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Romans 12:1- 2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” 2) The sacrifice of praise . Hebrews 13:15: “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” 3) Walking in love . Ephesians 5:2: “And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet- smelling aroma.” 4) Announcing forgiveness and blessing Matthew 5:44; 18:21; John 20:23 b) Perform redemptive sacrifices – Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:2; Hebrews 13:15 1) Our bodies are a living sacrifice .
