God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
Remember that charisma without character leads to catastrophe. Jesus’ authority was not imposed upon others, but rather a force He exposed. V. THE AUTHORITY OF GOD’S PROPHETIC PEOPLE Matthew 10:1, 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18; Acts 1:8, 4:33
A. POWER and Authority Over Sin (Romans 6:11,14)
Romans 6:11,14: “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord . . . For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
As born-again believers we have power over sin.
B. Power and Authority Over SICKNESS (Mark 16:18)
Mark 16:18: “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
As born-again believers we have power over sickness.
C. Power and AUTHORITY Over Evil Spirits (Matthew 10:1; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6; Ephesians 6:12)
Matthew 10:1- 2: “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother…”
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have power and authority over evil spirits.
