God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
These book titles provide some insight in our world and its regard for power, the current thinking is about power and prominence, and how one can achieve it in life and business. Here are some other definitions of power: • Information and knowledge are power • Visibility is power • A sense of timing is power • Trust and integrity are power • Personal energy is power, as well as self-confidence • Showmanship is power • Likeability is power Power, as seen in these definitions, can be either positive or negative, good or evil, helpful or a hindrance. The two most important questions to ask regarding power are: Who or what is the source of this power? and What is this power to be used for? What or who is your power source in life? When you are elevated at your job or in ministry, how do you use your authority or influence? Is it to help people, or to hinder people? Is it to get even with the person who did you wrong many months ago? Do you use these treasures just for yourself, or do you use them to help others who are in need? Do you use your position to put down and persecute people, or do you use your position to empower people to be all they can be? Are you focusing on the things that have eternal significance, or are you engrossed in only the present treasures and positions which will quickly fade away? • Access into elite circles is power • Obstruction and delay are power • Winning is power • Sometimes the illusion of power is power
Leonard Ravenhill has some interesting things to say about treasures and positions in his book, Why Revival Tarries :
