God's Prophetic People
Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” It is very important that all our revelations, perceptions, dreams and visions be submitted to the Word of God. The Word of God needs to be applied like a filter. It filters out all the undesirable things which, if absorbed, would not only taste bad, but would lead us down a wrong path. You see, the Word of God (the Bible) is the fulfilled prophecy. B. Redemptive/Historical Lens (Genesis 3:15; 1 Corinthians 10:11) Genesis 3:15: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” 1 Corinthians 10:11: “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.” John 3:16-18: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Throughout scripture there is a constant theme: redemption. Jesus Christ was slain before the foundations of the world. God so loved the world that He sent His only son to die for us on the cross. Throughout history, the Lord has been redeeming us, saving us, fulfilling His will in and around us. In the Old Testament we can clearly see the battles which were
