God's Prophetic People
Paul had a prophetic perspective which brought hope into the lives of the sailors. As we look around us, we see that there are many earthquakes, storms, tornadoes, tsunamis, and floods; natural disasters are commonplace in our world. We need to be like Paul who stood up and proclaimed the Word of the Lord. God’s prophetic people are those who have a prophetic perspective to bring a word of hope, leading to renewed courage into the Body of Christ. God's prophetic people are those who have removed the worldly, temporal lenses of our day, and have grasped God's prophetic perspective, obtaining insight into both the natural and spiritual world, gaining an understanding of the times they live in, and knowing what to do about them by looking through God's divine lenses. “Every shift in perspective requires, at the very least, that a person know a shift is possible and has enough understanding about what lies on the other side to have an inkling of what to expect. One of our biggest hindrances to change is the lack of knowledge that there is an alternative.” - Charles Kraft, Christianity with Power 1 We are living in one of the most unique times in the history of mankind in relation to knowledge. With the discovery and production of the computer, knowledge has expanded to measures which are hard to measure. With the addition of the internet, online news and publications, social media, and most recently AI platforms, people now can access things which were previously closed off from the majority of the public. Many refer to this time as a knowledge revolution . Yet, what really is knowl- edge? And, are there different types of knowledge?
