God's Prophetic People
Revelation 12:11: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” These scriptures define the witness or testimony of Jesus Himself as being synonymous with, or at the heart of, the spirit of prophecy. It is testifying of the Living Word. This is a channel which directs peoples’ gaze toward Jesus Christ. We must always testify of Jesus. In fact, one of our greatest weapons against the enemy of our souls is our personal testimony of Jesus Christ. God’s prophetic people are those disciples who testify of Jesus Christ. E. To Extend the Kingdom of God in Supernatural Ways (Daniel 11:32; Matthew 4:23-25; Mark 16:17-18; 2 Corinthians 2:1-5) 1 Corinthians 2:1- 5: “And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” God has designed us to function as supernatural beings. His has given us His precious Holy Spirit so that we can achieve supernatural goals, which are beyond our natural capacities. God has created us so that by developing a close, intimate Daniel 11:32: “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
