God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
Wow!! Quite astounding, isn’t it? Even the majority of our Christian community do not know where they will spend eternity. It is as if they are spiritually dead to the purposes of God. I believe we need a fresh awakening to the purposes of God within the Body of Christ. The life of Lazarus typifies this in John 11. Let me paraphrase: The friends of Jesus — people close to the heart of God — thought He (the Lord) had forgotten Lazarus because he (Lazarus) had died. This was not the case. The Lord was doing other things pertaining to His kingdom while intercession was being offered on behalf of Lazarus. Jesus then turned His attention to Lazarus. He comforted the people by saying that Lazarus was just sleeping. Then he called forth Lazarus from the grave. Christ, the one who has been raised from the dead and lives forevermore, is the one who called Lazarus forth from the grave. Christ Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He awakened Lazarus, and it is no different today. The Lord Jesus, our resurrection and life, is using a prophetic people to call out to those who are dead in life, dead in purpose, and speaking life and purpose into their beings. They are a little different looking when they first come out of their tombs. They have grave clothes on just like Lazarus had. Our present generation is dressed a little different than the former generation, yet they are the ones which God is calling forth in this hour. Let us receive them and allow the Lord to graciously take off their grave clothes and allow them to be who God has called them to be.
As born again, Spirit-filled Christians, we have the wonderful opportunity and privilege to realize our God-given purpose and live it out day after day.
Let’s explore more about purpose and how critical it is
for God’s prophetic people to understand.
