VII. Responsibilities OF DAVIDIC WORSHIPERS A. Being faithful (1 Chronicles 16:4; 2 Chronicles 35:15) One of the key virtues needed today is faithfulness, a quality that seems to be lacking in many areas of society. We see it in everything from marital infidelity to unfaithfulness in consumer habits, and even among Christians who are unfaithful to their churches, leaders, and ultimately to God. To be faithful as a Christian means to steadfastly adhere to the truth and remain committed to the responsibilities of a covenant relationship with the Lord. It reflects loyalty, a true sense of allegiance, and a consistent devotion to one's commitments. A faithful person is someone who honors their promises, keeps their word, and is true to their vows, whether in contracts, agreements, or personal oaths. Davidic worshipers are called to be faithful in maintaining their places of worship — both in their private lives and in their corporate, public expressions of faith. 2 Chronicles 35:15 states: “And the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their places, according to the command of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer. Also the gatekeepers were at each gate; they did not have to leave their position , because their brethren the Levites prepared portions for them” (emphasis added). These worshipers were faithful to the commands of their superiors. They were faithful to stay where they were called to function. God’s prophetic people are called to continually remain as Davidic worshipers, worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth.
