I remember before you sent me down here to my parents, that we talked about what color hair you were going to give me. 5

Remember when I told You that I loved that black horse because it had a long silky tail and a wavy mane?

Remember when You said You liked the horse too, because his tail and mane flew like a kite when he galloped?

You know God, I had a feeling that maybe you might surprise me and give me black hair too!

Why did you give me red hair?

Remember God when You were pushing me on the swing in the heavenly park?

I saw a glimpse of my sister when You pushed me way up high above the curtain in the sky! 11

I saw that she had blonde hair! You said You loved her hair because it was the color of earth ‛ s sun and reminded You of Your Father ‛ s glory! 12

I thought maybe You might surprise me and give me blonde hair too!

Remember when we took that hike together, and we saw that family of scruffy squirrels?

They were a beautiful chestnut brown color!

Their bushy brown tails would swing back and forth as they scampered up the trees!

I thought You might surprise me and give me chestnut brown hair too!

Why did You give me red hair?

You said, You knew the number of hairs on my head and even what color they would be before I was born.

I could have made you with black hair, God said.

I could have made you with blonde hair.

I could have made you with chestnut brown hair.

But I looked at your intense spirit. I looked at your heated desire, and I looked at your fiery love.

And I thought this one represents... “ME! ” SO... 24

I made you…
