8. WHERE ARE LUCIFER AND HIS DEMONS NOW? Apparently, the Devil and his angels have the ability to roam the earth day and night at will; however, they are chained by the curse of darkness and reserved to final judgment. Matthew 12:43-45; Jude 6; Job 1:7; Revelation 12:9 (yet future); 1 Peter 5:8; 9; Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 7:7, 10; Note Luke 8:31. 9. WHEN DID THE PRESENT WORLD'S CREATION TAKE PLACE? The present earth with its various orders of life was created in six days. We do not know when this actually happened, except that it began after "the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:2. 10. DID GOD ACTUALLY CREATE EVERYTHING IN THE PRESENT WORLD IN SIX DAYS, OR IS THAT JUST A MANNER OF SPEECH? The simplest explanation is that day was a 24-hour day, based on the repeated expression, "And the evening and the morning were the ____ day." Genesis 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23 and 31. Some feel that each day was actually a period of time, such as a thousand years as mentioned in 2 Peter 3:8. The advent of the "space age" has made us all aware of the new dimensions in time and space that have opened to the thinking of man. Also, it should be noted that even here on earth "a day" has various meanings, depending on whether you live in the Arctic, the Equator or elsewhere. The main thought of the first chapter of the Bible is that God Almighty created the earth and its various forms of life in an ordered, logical way. He could have done this in any number of ways. The purpose of this chapter is not to give a scientific treatise on creation, but rather a simple historical account of creation that would be satisfactory; and acceptable to races of men for a period of approximately 6,000 years. 11. WHAT IS THE "THEORY OF EVOLUTION"? The unproved idea that all things have evolved, or developed, in the course of long ages, from simple forms to more complex forms. This THEORY contradicts the Bible account of the creation. Note the expression, "After their kind” in Genesis 1:21, 24, 25. God made each "kind'' of life distinctly different!
