Between these two comings Christ reigns over a spiritual King dom in the hearts of mankind. Amillennialism teaches that there is one general, bodily resur rection of all the dead, not two last-days resurrections. The first resurrection is a spiritual one, the new birth. The second resur rection is a physical raising of all the dead, both the wicked and the righteous, when the final judgment of all will occur and each enters his or her final state. • Allis, Oswald T. Prophecy and the Church (Presbyterian and Re formed, 1945). Allis, a prominent amillenarian, believed that the Church is the true Israel, that she includes saints of all ages and that she will go through the Tribulation. • Bavinck, Herman.
