6. IN WHAT STATE ARE INFANTS WHO ARE NOT DEDICATED TO GOD, THE CHILDREN OF UNBELIEVING PARENTS? The children of unbelieving parents who have not been presented to God in dedication, are considered unclean, unblessed heathen. Again note 1 Corinthians 7:14; also, Joshua 7:1-26; Genesis 7:13. We see, therefore, a real ministry of evangelism for the Sunday School in the converting and training of the children of unsaved parents. It is our conviction that we must do all we can to win them, but leave the final judgment in God's hands; God's mercy and justice will do that which is right in the lives of undedicated babies and small children. Genesis 18:25. We believe children are under the protection of the covenant made at the time of their dedication until they reach approximately 12 years of age. At that time, they should be thoroughly trained in doctrine and brought to a decision for Jesus Christ. They then must enter covenant with God by way of personal repentance, faith, the cleansing of the blood and circumcision of heart in water baptism. Note that Jesus became a "Son of the Law" (and accountable to God for his life) when he was 12 years of age. Luke 2:42. 8. HOW DILIGENTLY SHOULD PARENTS TEACH CHILDREN GOD'S WORD?
